Executive MBA programs add value in multiple ways: of course, you would gain knowledge and skills helpful in senior leadership positions. Additionally, alumni say the network and credibility from top business schools were immensely valuable in accelerating their careers and businesses.

Most top Executive MBA programs require an admission test, usually the Executive Assessment or GMAT.

The Executive Assessment is an alternative to the GMAT for Executive MBA admissions, and assesses business school readiness.

Technically the EA can be taken on most days of the year. However, you need to book an appointment at a test center to do so; test center seats get filled up fairly quickly, so it is usually wise to book your test early.

The EA can be taken in one of the GMAC-designated test centers in most major cities around the world.

The EA tests specific knowledge and skills. The candidates who prepare for the test typically do well. Most candidates take 2-4 months to prepare for the test while working full time. One-on-One coaching with Executive Assessment experts is available.

The exam fee is US$ 350.

You are not allowed to take anything except photo ID and prescription eyeglasses with you. An on-screen calculator is available on-demand when permitted during the test.

You will be asked to leave your mobile phone, watch, calculator etc in the test center’s locker when you go to take the test.

There is no “passing” or “good” score on the EA – each Executive MBA program assesses the EA score in conjunction with other factors in the candidate application to make admission decisions. More competitive programs require higher scores.

You will see your score on the screen immediately after taking the test, and the test center can provide you a print copy of your unofficial score card. Your chosen schools will usually receive your official score within 2-3 weeks after your test.

You can take the EA up to two (2) times.

Test Preparation Packages indicates the number of hours we suggest you devote to each section in the coaching sessions. These numbers are recommended, but not fixed. If you need more help with Data Interpretation, for example, you can use some of your Data Analysis hours for Data Interpretation.

The total number of coaching hours for each package is fixed; but within each package, there is complete flexibility to move hours across sections.

In fact, we start by giving you a diagnostic test, and based on your performance on that your coach and you will collaboratively develop a study plan for you.

Our tried and tested process starts with a deep dive into your background and profile, including the professional, social and personal in order to cull action stories for the application. Finally, once you have an invitation to interview, we help you prepare for the interview as well with frequent questions, mock interviews etc.

We offer application consulting, i.e. advice on how to turn in your strongest application, covering all components.

With respect to the essays, after conducting a deep-dive into your background and motivations, we will advise you on the essay content and style. Once you have developed your essay drafts, we will provide feedback on them as well.

However, we will not write the essays for you. For one, that’s unethical. Moreover, it is ineffective – the essay has to be in your “voice”.
